Mission: Actively promote the rights and interests of crime victims by providing them with a voice and advocacy as their case moves through the criminal justice system.
Purpose: The Victim Assistance Unit provides information, referrals, assistance, and personal and criminal justice related advocacy to victims of crime in Platte County who have suffered physical, sexual, financial, or emotional harm as a result of the commission of a violent crime.
